This tutorial will show you how to insert audios to posts or pages in WordPress.

You can share audio on your blog in a variety of ways:
1. Add a link from your site to an outside audio file. If you found an audio file elsewhere on-line, simply copy its URL. Back on your site, enter the shortcode, which looks like this: , with the address inside.

Please note, your browser should support HTML5 audio for your uploaded format. Otherwise, a direct download link will be displayed instead of the player. The following browsers support the following formats via HTML5 audio:
2. Using Media Library. While creating a post, use the ‘Add Media’ button. Upload any .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav file from your hard drive. When inserting into a post, make sure to click the Embed Media Player button for the ‘Embed or Link’ option and then click the Insert into Post button.

3. Create a download link to a file hosted elsewhere. This will require your readers to save and play the sound file on their own computers. If you are uploading or linking to a file hosted elsewhere, please respect the wishes of the copyright holder. While creating a post, use the ‘Add Media’ button. Upload any .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav file from your hard drive or insert from a URL. When inserting into a post, make sure to click the Link To MediaFile button for the ‘Embed or Link’ option and then click the Insert into Post button.
