CherryFramework 4. How to find all the required plugins and get them installed
August 1, 2016
This tutorial shows how to find all the required plugins and get them installed in CherryFramework 4 templates.
Automatic installation
After uploading the cherryframework4 and themeXXXXX files (Appearance > Themes), as well as activating themeXXXXX, you will see a message of the required and recommended plugins to install in WordPress Admin Panel. Just click on the Begin installing plugins link to start installing them automatically. Activate them, when ready.
Manual installation
If you have some issues with automatic installation of the plugins, you can try to install the plugins manually.
-
Visit the http://github.com/CherryFramework page to download all the plugins that are listed in the required plugins message (in WordPress admin panel).
-
Click on the plugin′s title -> Clone or download button -> Download ZIP.
-
Find the zip file on your computer. As you can see, the name of the downloaded zip is cherry-testimonials-master.zip.
We should rename it the following way:
Unzip the folder using WinZip.
Check the content inside. There you will find another folder with the same name.
This folder should be renamed to cherry-testimonials, we removed the -master suffix.
Now you should compress the folder into .zip archive again.
-
Go to the Plugins > Add New > Upload plugin section and start uploading the newly created archive. Don’t forget to activate the plugin once it’s uploaded.
