In order to add admin notification when new order arrives, you should perform the following:

1. Log into your Magento admin using your login credentials – the username and password.

2. Navigate to System -> Configuration:

   

3. Scroll the page down to Sales and click Sales Emails:

   

4. Unfold the Order item and make sure Yes is selected in Enabled section.

5. Enter your email into the Send Order Email Copy To section.

6. In Send Order Email Copy Method select Separate Email option.

7. Click Save Config at the top right:
