Magento. How to configure Kanvas Autocomplete extension

The following tutorial is going to show how to manage Kanvas Search Autocomplete extension in Magento templates.

NOTE: We recommend that you disable Magento cache or clear it after all configuration changes. Please check the following tutorial for the detailed guidance: Magento. How to clear cache

1. Log into your Magento admin panel.

2. Navigate to System->Configuration menu, look for Search Auto Complete tab:

   

3. In Setting section you can configure Border Color, Border Width and Hover Background of the module.

4. Suggest section allows to enable/disable autocomplete (suggest) function as well as to configure its background, Suggest Color and Count Color:

   

5. Choose either to display products previews or not in the search in Product Preview section. Here you can also decide how many preview products the module will display and whether you need to show Product Image, Product Name and Product Description in the preview.

   Modify the preview appearance and the thumbnail image to your needs.

6. Click Save Config button to save the changes:

   

7. Go back to the website frontend and refresh the page. Check how your search module woks after the modifications.
