This tutorial shows how to remove sidebars from category pages in Magento.

In order to remove sidebars from category pages, please do the following:

1. Log into your Magento admin with your login credentials – the username and password.

2. Navigate to Catalog -> Manage Categories in your Magento admin.

3. Select the category you want to remove the sidebars from.

4. Click the ‘Custom Design’ tab.

5. In ‘Use Parent Category Settings’ select ‘No’.

6. In ‘Page Layout’ select ‘1 column’.

7. Click the ‘Save Category’ button at the top right:
